Beth B

Working in video, feature film, and installation, Beth B creates provocative narratives that mine the violence below the surface of everyday life. Working in the New York New Wave/punk scene of the 1970s, B garnered critical attention for her stylized short films and noir features produced with Scott B. Her videos merge documentary and fiction, horror and lyricism, with references ranging from Artaud and Bataille to Jim Thompson and Bret Easton Ellis.   full biography
