		• EAI is committed to providing access to and preserving our major collection of over 3,500 video art works, from groundbreaking artists such as Joan Jonas, Dara Birnbaum and Martha Rosler to a new generation of artists such as Ryan Trecartin, Shana Moulton and Cory Arcangel. EAI reaches audiences at arts, educational and cultural venues worldwide. • EAI’s dynamic series of free public programs, including artists’ talks, performances, panels and screenings, provides a forum for dialogue with emerging and established artists. 2009 highlights included talks by Kalup Linzy, Eleanor Antin, Takeshi Murata and Alex Bag, and presentations of new work by Seth Price and restored works by Stuart Sherman. • EAI supports the preservation of early video works and the creation of new works: special preservation projects in 2009 included the restoration of seminal works by Carolee Schneemann, Stuart Sherman and Lawrence Weiner. In 2009 artists such as Dan Graham, Michael Smith and Carolee Schneemann used our technical facilities to create new works. • www.eai.org is EAI’s comprehensive online catalogue on the artists and works in the collection, with extensive resources on media art. Our viewing room provides free access to the EAI collection for artists, students, educators and curators, and hosts college and high school classes. • In 2009 we launched the 1st stage of a major initiative to digitize our entire video collection and archives for preservation and access, to ensure that this vital artistic and cultural resource is available for future generations.
