Creating a charged visual metaphor of political tension, Odenbach fuses contemporary and archival footage to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the United Nations. Alternating with scenes in which a man prepares for a journey, filmed documents of masses in motion — in search of freedom and refuge — are projected onto the flag of the UN.
