Yucatan

1973, 28:09 min, b&w, sound

A journey from the harbor of Veracruz, Tumerida and Yucatan. The archaeological site of Palenque acts as a crux in Downey's personal approximation to architecture and to the way of life of the local inhabitants. Part of Downey's travelogues — letters written by Juanfi Lamadrid narrating various adventures, and certain of the author's own reflections — have been inserted into the sounds of the surroundings.

Technician: Juanfi Lamadrid.
