Update regarding COVID-19
Founded in 1971, EAI is a nonprofit resource that fosters the creation, exhibition,
distribution and preservation of media art.
For our second anniversary feature, EAI presents two works by Maggie Lee, available through March 9th. Two early videos,
Hand Dryer
(2012) and
FallNYC
(2014) are accompanied by a newly-commissioned text by artist Whitney Claflin.
2021 marks the 50th anniversary of EAI. As we celebrate this milestone, EAI is presenting a rotating series of video features from across our collection—in many cases accompanied by newly commissioned writing, archival documents, and interviews—and publish a series of oral histories with key figures.
